Shades of Grey

One of my favorite color palettes for the season is grey and pale yellow.
Hands down this was the favorite trend table at our Wedding Trends, Tips
and Treats in store event a few weeks ago.

The linen is a gorgeous grey bengaline called Silverado from Windy City
Linen and is one of my go to linens for any
season. The bengaline is such an elegant linen – with a soft, subtle sheen
and lovely modern texture.

Here we topped it with an ombre floral collection – flowing from a soft,
creamy butter yellow to a vivid jewel tone lemon yellow. Each was designed
in mod white glossy glass vases that varied from square to rectangular
shapes. We surrounded each with paired votive candles, in silver moroccan
and mercury glass designs.

The table is set with gorgeous silver rimmed china, crystal and mother of
pearl handled flatware from Tablescapes . I
love their settings for so many reasons, but the comment I hear repeated by
all of our clients is that they look like family heirloom pieces, not event
rentals.

To finish off the reception vignette, we paired a chic petite favor – the
mini chinese take out box, filled with a lemon meringue mini moresel cupcake
from More wrapped in layered silk ribbons and
topped with a custom monogram label, with a custom designed menu card. The
menu card is unique in that the foldover design features a lovely poem on
the front cover, with the menu then printed inside.

As a piece de resistance, we set a dessert amuse at each setting. Each
features a mini meringue nest filled with lemon curd infused with rosemary
essence, and a sprig of rosemary as garnish.

Delish in every sense, to every sense.
