Le Petit Diner

Le Petit Diner

Pour diner we visited a favorite tiny bistro on Rue Pointoise, tucked behind Notre Dame on the Left Bank.

It is one of my husband’s top Paris bistros. For both atmosphere and food.

We sat under the narrow awning our first visit, as night settled en la terrace.

We quickly realized why noone had taken our table – as in the light rain, we stayed dry by leaning toward the wall.

See how narrow it is in the menu watercolor above? It’s precise.

Which made it so much fun – and the entire meal a good laugh.

Their chevre chaud salad, with an entire hot, melted medallion ontop rocket was out of my dreams. As was their roast chicken and mashed potatoes.

Joy makes the BEST roast chicken, and was on the hunt for the best in Paris.

So of course I took her to Le Petit Pointoise.

We were lucky enough to take the last table on the terrace, which is always the first challenge.

However, le menu left me agape.

NO poulet roti.

NO roast chicken.

Uggghhh.
