Lucky for me my entree – starter – quickly saved the meal.

Joy’s husband Michael had joined us as well – and I didn’t want to let my fellow food worshippers down.

This creamy, hot cheese artichoke basil dream was literally the most wonderful first course.

We kept asking for more bread – two full baskets ensued – and we mopped up every last drop in the bowl.

I have never been so happy to be dining with Joy as I was in that moment. She could breakdown every single possible ingredient.

Which we needed, as the waitress was mum about what exact cheese was used…how it was made…etc.

Joy said she dreamed about it all night long…and it’s job one to recreate when she returns home.
