This is Lauren and Charlie. We just love them to pieces. The only bad thing about Lauren and Charlie is that they live in Ann Arbor, MI. A little too far away for us to get to hang out with them on a regular basis. If they lived in Chicago we’d probably call them every other weekend to grab dinner or just hag out. As soon as we met them we knew we were a good match. Charlie is an English professor there at the university and Lauren is a yoga instructor. They fit perfectly in the little outdoorsy town of Ann Arbor as they love to get outside to explore and be around nature. They keep things fun and lighthearted and find sentiment in the simplest parts of life. I asked them to bring a few things to their engagement session that were important to them and Lauren brought seven love letters that Charlie had written her. One for each day of the week. She still had them wrapped in the same ribbon that he originally gave them to her with. To me, there is something so powerful about professing your love to someone on paper. Everything about these two together was so sweet to watch. They truly love and admire one another. For their engagement session we started out at Eckhart Park where they went on their second date and first started to fall in love. We ended up at Sip Coffee House where we relaxed and drank some yummy hot tea. Can’t wait for their wedding next summer which is at one of our favorite Chicago venues, The Ivy Room. Early tomorrow morning we are headed to Virginia and Tennessee for a week to be with my family for Christmas. We hope that all of you are finding ways to celebrate this holiday with some of your closest family or friends too. Don’t forget to soak up every minute of it. We have so much to be thankful for.
