One of our favorite things about working with our clients is that we get to do engagement sessions. It’s a chance for us to connect with them outside of discussing the wedding timeline, explaining album details, etc. We love getting to see what things are important in each of our couples’ lives and learn a little more about what brought them together. We had a great time with Kate and Aaron on their shoot and were excited to find out that they have impeccable taste in art, food and wine. Besides that, I have to say how much I loved their classic taste in clothes. I think if I had Kate’s closet I’d be happy for the rest of my life! Ok, maybe we could share. Anyways, it was fun to see what things in life bring these two together. They have a respect and adoration for each other that is accompanied by their zeal and passion for experiencing life to the fullest. After shooting in the park we headed to their Lincoln Park rooftop for a bottle of wine. As the sun was setting over the city, the four of us tried our hardest to soak in every last second of its warmth. It was one of my favorite Chicago summer evenings yet.
