Farmer friends are the best friends. I have stumbled into heaven perusing the teeny tiny gourmet general store market Bi-Rite on 18th in The Gourmet Ghetto/Mission District in San Francisco . Started in 1940 right here at the same darling address, and now run by a second generation of family owners, Bi_Rite is a true and trusted local purveyor of sustainable, organic foods. The narrow, vintage aisles are chock full of produce and products direct from their three local farms…
Besides the addictive divine donuts and cool coffees – guess what else makes Four Barrels worth the trip and pull up a table time? The retro LPs played a la DJ behind the bar. So hot – its cool. Debi Lilly, aperfectevent.com

Ahhhhhh… Back in gorgeous, sunny northern California for a few more exciting days with Safeway. Christine sent me straight away to Tartine, which I missed last culinary tour. The website almost says it all – I was drooling as I viewed every single page, menu item, bread video and more. tartinebakery.com I am starting with a gougere (ten times the size of any I have ever seen!) with gruyere, black pepper and fresh thyme. Then I shall move to the…
I just love the florals tonight. The apricot, apple green and champagne is so soft and warm ontop the moss pleated linens. The vintage silver urns and trays paired with silver moroccan and leafed votives is the finishing touch on each dining table. The lighting under the tent is always of utmost importance – it creates an ethereal, amber glow invited guests to enter. Tonight we have combined an amber and orange leaf patterned gobo ceiling design with a sparkling…
Looking toward the house, the cocktail hour has the most beautiful view of the pool and patio. The moss pleated silk linens pull nature’s woodland landscape beauty onto the hardscape as well, and the apricot autumnal florals are displayed in vintage green glass bud vases tied with a sweet silk ribbon. Maybe its the city girl in me… But these cocktail tables are the most inviting, enchanting, elegant setting to sit and soak up the view whilst sipping champagne. Debi Lilly, aperfectevent.com
These handmade honey jars are too sweet for words… The property, Hanover Hill, produces honey. What better wedding favor than a darling honey jar to enjoy at home? Debi Lilly, aperfectevent.com
I often repeat – there is no more intimate, personal setting than an at home wedding. The setting for cocktails is the splendid family home’s English Garden, which certainly could not be more… beautiful romantic elegant tranquil and more. The perfect start to a memorable evening for all. Debi Lilly, aperfectevent.com
The tablecard table is filled with a dramatic and seasonal profusion of maple leaves, berry, mossy branches and more bursting out of a silver leafed urn. The tabletop is covered in moss for a woodsy nod to the garden surrounding us, and cards are calligraphied onto chartreuse stock and held in place with a river rock to keep the autumn breeze away… Debi Lilly, aperfectevent.com
