…and after!

Remember the shot as we were pulling and prepping containers for our big Bloomingdales event a few days ago?

That was before…and this is after.

This "wedding look" was Mastering the Art of French Cooking – entertaining the In Laws. I was inspired by my Le Cordon Bleu training last summer in Paris…and of course the white hot Julia Child.

The south of France is always a visual feast of bright, enchanting colors…orange, blue, yellow and green are ever present in gorgeous linens, village buildings, tiny shop windows, painted doorways, and so much more.

Each silver container was filled with massed monofloral spheres in orange pincushion, spray rose, buffalo mokara orchids and fluffy parrot tulips. The vintage grouping of petite julep cups, moroccan inspired teacups from Kusmi Tea Paris, mercury glass and mirrored cakestands, etc was everyone’s favorite wedding vignette (out of ten!).

I am completely obsessed with "les cocottes", the tiny individual le Crueset pots. Here we took them in a new direction, filling them at each setting with matching orange spray roses. Tres adorable!
